Whether teaching young kids and horses, showing competitively, managing a racehorse barn, or taking care of the day-to-day needs of a stable, Winter is a well-rounded and experienced equestrian and we are extremely pleased to have her on our team of trainers at Pine Hollow Stables.
Winter Philibert is an accomplished professional with a focus in Hunter Jumper riding styles. She is an experienced equestrian having multiple awards ranging from Iowa Nebraska Hunter Jumper Association (INHJA) Year End Award to Consistent Year Award Earner (4th & 5th) whom campaigned horses to United States Equestrian Federation (USEF). She was an AP Scholar with Honors who was previously employed by the ISU Horse Barn and participated in their annual sales in Iowa. She worked for numerous trainers in Kentucky, including as an Assistant Trainer to Alfredo Mendina.
After completing a BA in Animal Science Pre-Vet with an equine focus from Iowa State University, Winter is on the cusps of completing a Biomedical Engineering Masters program at University of Iowa. Winter is trilingual in German, Spanish and English. She currently holds a position with
Dr. Goetz at Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons (DMOS) working on modeling of cartilage and bone and analyzing properties in DEA and FE. She worked in the IT sector for The Center for Food Security & Public Health at Iowa State University and has co-published an article on DNA Methylation.
